History Nazis on the march draw flies and raise questions...

HYSTERICAL DISTRICT, MUSKEGON, MI.-Does the Hysterical Society revise it's standards to suit the mood swings of it's monied benefactors? Who gave the Hysterical Society police powers? Apparently, they are keen observers of the "Let us change the rules to suit whatever it is we want to do today" philosophy, as championed by that stalwart of democratic process: Adolf Cheney...

Where is Downwind Lars in all of this? Sucking up to the money? Let's look closely...circles within circles...What else is going on? Methinks the stench is not from the house in question...Has anyone sniffed around the board members of the Hysterical Society? The City Commissioners?

Money, money, money, more likely than not.

Ah well, just drive slow, smile and waive...

The house will be torn down and then they'll start working on getting the land. You can't fight city hall. The lawyers are all connected and ain't nobody wanting to come in from the outside. Follow the dots.

Muskegon Chronicle did a poll where 85% of the readers said no to tearing Victor's house down. These politicians can't even respect 85% of us. They don't care what the residents want. I've lived here for 57 years and Victor is a part of downtown. They are killing him and demolishing a county treasure.

If my health was better I would run against Spataro if the house goes down. He needs to get a life instead of running his mouth all the time about what he thinks we need. I don't know where Shepard stands on this but I want to believe she would stand up for Victor's rights and the rights of Scot to fix it. One of the signs the protestors had today said, New Owner New Chance. I beeped my horn but want to help more.

Here is an opportunity to get the residents involved in saving an important part of history for Muskegon and the idiots are going to tear it down.

My comment !!!!!!!!!

I was at 487 Clay today. That excellent example of a long ago era is structuraly sound, the condition is remarkable for the age.

This isn't about a house as much as a war between the present city commissioners and a past one. It's small town politics. I called Commissioner Larry Spataro ( the only one who answered the phone today) and it is obvious that the issue at hand is a long standing grudge, hidden behind a position with the city.

The new owner has the right to prove himself to be capable to repair it. His past has no standing in this instance and if this isn't a violation of civil liberties, I don't know what is.

The gossip surrounding this, which in the short time I researched, all trails back to a bully commisioner who has far exceded his professional role.

They expect an elderly man to sign his property over to a church he doesn't even attend, and they pick the new owner? Of course he would sign it over to the one person who has loved him no matter what. That person deserves to be heard. He deserves to be respected and given the chance to save his family home. This dear senior has the right to determine who has HIS property. I have more respect for that unshowered hard of hearing man and his nephew than I do for all of the city and county officials combined.

I came to Muskegon this weekend to meet realtors in my hope of purchasing a home in the Historical District. I will not live where small town politics remove all sense of decency. I left Muskegon today, angry and disgusted.

The house and the new owner deserve to be given a chance at life and a breath of support from the city and the neighbors. Not to mention what this is doing to a 89 year old, hard of hearing different but equally important man.

God help all the movers and shakers that have NOT extended a hand to the new owner and that have disregaurded a senior who has long ago lost his way.

what about that poll? I wonder if those that said the house should stay will NOT vote for the same ego-maniacs as commisioners again? Democracy in this city is obviously not anywhere to be seen. If you have the bucks you have the say. By the way, some of those who wanted this house gone are not Republicans, so guess what that leaves? OH yeah, whatever happened to that Golden Rule that says, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.? The Golden Rule has nothing to do with money in your pocket, or at least it's not supposed to according to the "man" that created it. And remember all you do-gooders, what goes around comes around!
